What I do and don’t do
I do
- Only work with your written permission
- Keep to the agreed scope
- Explain findings in plain English
- Keep your information to a minimum and handle it carefully
I don’t
- View your camera footage, messages or passwords
- Promise you will never be hacked
- Claim to be a certification body (I am not Cyber Essentials certified)
- Test anything you do not own or have authority over
A check-up reduces risk; it cannot remove it. Everything is done in line with the Computer Misuse Act 1990 and UK GDPR.
