1. Authorisation

The client confirms that they own, or have the legal authority to authorise checks on, the network, devices and accounts listed below, and gives l337.ops permission to carry out a security and privacy check-up of them.

2. What l337.ops will do

• Review router and Wi-Fi settings, connected devices, update status and account security settings, as agreed.
• Only use methods agreed in advance; no attempts to break into systems or bypass security.
• Explain findings and provide a written report with prioritised recommendations.

3. What l337.ops will not do

• View camera footage, private messages, emails or stored passwords.
• Access anything outside the agreed scope, or any third-party system or network.
• Change settings without explaining them and getting your agreement first.

4. Your responsibilities

• Take a backup of anything important before the appointment.
• Tell me about anything fragile or business-critical, and any systems that must not be touched.
• Enter passwords yourself when required; do not share them with me.

Household and children

If children are present, a parent or guardian must be at home and responsible. Parental controls are set up with the parent or guardian, not on a child’s device without their involvement. Anything concerning a child’s safety will be handled sensitively and, where necessary, signposted to the appropriate organisation.

Data protection

Only the minimum personal information needed is collected and is handled under UK GDPR. See the privacy notice on this website. Records are kept for the period stated there and then securely deleted.

Limits

A check-up reduces risk but cannot guarantee security. Recommendations are based on what was reviewed at the time. Nothing here limits any legal rights that cannot be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
